(September 28, 2022) The MWHC, now located in the former Woman’s Industrial Exchange (WIE), will be one of 43 sites open to the public for free during Doors Open Baltimore 2022.
Doors Open Baltimore celebrates the city’s unique places like our home in the historic WIE. It is hosted by the Baltimore Architecture Foundation.
Haven’t seen inside the former WIE for a while? Come visit the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center there, see our latest window artist installation and take a look at our Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame exhibit.
Have memories to share about the WIE? We are embarking on a two-year project to catalogue artifacts that remain in the building, collect oral histories from people who loved this Baltimore locale and permanently preserve it all to share with Baltimoreans and visitors.
