(September 30, 2022) Parkdale High School student Micah Carroll, winner of the 2022 Award for Excellence in Women’s History, will share her research and new website about the life of Fannie Lou Hamer. Born into a Mississippi sharecroppers family, Hamer faced racism, beatings and hate during her lifetime fight for human and civil rights. 

Dr. Amy Rosenkrans, MWHC board member and Baltimore City middle school social studies teacher, will facilitate the discussion.
