(March 15, 2023) Current Baltimore County Fire Chief Joanne R. Rund and retired Howard County Fire Chief Christine Uhlhorn will join a discussion and slide show about women firefighters in Maryland, sponsored by the Fire Museum of Maryland and the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center.
Chiefs Rund and Uhlhorn are a few of “the firsts” in local firefighting leadership. They will share some of their experiences, challenges and successes. They will also provide insights to women who may be considering a career in firefighting and EMS.
