Greeted the 1913 “Army of the Hudson” in Elkton
Mary Hollingsworth Jamar (1873- December 6, 1960)
Mary Jamar, was a lifelong resident of Elkton, Maryland. After attending Wilson College in Pennsylvania, she returned to Elkton where she was an active participant in civic life. She was the founder of the Women’s Club of Elkton and served as the President of the Cecil County Equal Suffrage League. Jamar greeted the “Army of the Hudson” suffragists who marched through Elkton in 1913.
