(March 19, 2024) For decades, the Woman’s Industrial Exchange (WIE) sold handcrafts to a loyal following at 333 N. Charles Street in Baltimore’s historic Mt. Vernon neighborhood. Handmade sock monkeys were a customer favorite. Come to the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center, now located in the former WIE, and learn how to make a traditional sock monkey.
