Our first artist reception of the year: Griot Grandmother Edna’s African American hand-sewn quilts

(January 2, 2022) Throughout the year, pedestrians and motorists who pass by the MWHC headquarters at 333 N. Charles Street can view a rotating window exhibit that showcases the work of Maryland women artists. On Saturday January 15, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., we welcome all to a free opening reception for Baltimore’s legendary Griot Grandmother Edna, whose African American hand-sewn quilts will be on display in the window until February 22, 2022.

NOTE: Depending on the weather, much of this event will take place outdoors. The quilts in our display window are visible from the sidewalk. We welcome you to also visit our exhibit space indoors, if you wish. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
